A splash of light... the city looks brilliant at night

Thanks Satz. I never found time in the day time so its all low light stuff from Madrid. But I have shot a few day time pics of Toledo taken on a weekend trip...I'll be posting them soon.

Sudarshan, the compositions are really good, but I wish you did bracketing. Some shots would have just been perfect if they were -1EV down. Great place, Madrid.

Hello, sudershan!

I love the lights in the first shot--so many different colors! Night photography is just magical, isn't it?

@Kousik: Thanks..I have underexposed all three shots by a stop..I guess should have underexposed them by 1/2 a stop further..can you please tell me how to calibrate the monitor? I see different tonalities in different monitors and the third picture actually looks good if the contrast is increased...but in print, I felt I should have underexposed this further.
@Lara: Yeah its magical indeed. Thanks :)
@Suyog: Europe is certainly beautiful Suyog...but I feel no other country in this planet has the diversity, charm and the colours that we find in our country. Thanks

OPINIONS

Nice shots Sudarshan. I tried a few night shots, I didnt had a good tripod, so when i put it in buld mode, the picture was shaken because of my hand pressing the camera button.
I liked the 3rd one most.

Thanks Sri. My camera facilitates exposure upto 30s and so far I havent tried exposures beyond this. Instead of putting it in the bulb mode, I suggest you use the shutter priority mode, set the shutter speed and use the timer to depress the shutter...I always use the timer for my night shots and havent encountered any shake.

Reminds me of walking the streets of a beautiful city at night. She looks different, doesn't she? It's as if she's dressed for an evening party - the lights are her jewelry sparkling in the darkness.
